Ottawa Electric completed the full residential electrical installation for a custom new build home in Greely, Ottawa.
The project covered the full home and included a new 200A electrical service, meter base, main panel, underground service, panel labelling, GenerLink backup system, and Hydro Ottawa coordination.
The home also received an extensive custom lighting installation with pot lights, decorative fixtures, exterior lighting, sconces, accent lighting, under-cabinet lighting, low-voltage puck lighting, and LED strip lighting throughout.
Specialty electrical work included dedicated wiring for a wine cooler, bar, home theater, and hot tub.
This custom home required a complete electrical system designed around modern residential loads, backup power, and a detailed custom lighting plan.
In addition to the standard full-home electrical infrastructure, the client wanted a GenerLink backup solution for selected critical loads and extensive architectural lighting throughout the home.
The specialty spaces also required dedicated electrical infrastructure for the wine cooler, bar, home theater, and hot tub.

The project required detailed lighting coordination, particularly for the custom puck lighting and LED strip lighting incorporated throughout the finished spaces.
For the specialty areas, Ottawa Electric installed dedicated circuits and equipment wiring for the wine cooler and bar, low-voltage/data infrastructure for the home theater, and GFCI-protected wiring for the hot tub.
