Ottawa Electric completed the full residential electrical work for a custom new build home in Navan, working with Pagi Contracting.
This was a full custom home electrical project from the ground up. The scope covered the full home, including custom lighting, electrical service, generator backup, specialty wiring, dedicated circuits, exterior electrical work, and rough-ins for key lifestyle features.
Ottawa Electric installed a new 200A service with a meter base, main panel, sub-panels, underground service, panel labelling, generator panel, automatic transfer switch, and Hydro One coordination. The generator backup system was designed for full-home backup.
The project also included custom lighting throughout the home, including pot lights, decorative fixtures, exterior lighting, sconces, accent lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and dimmers.
This custom home needed a complete electrical system that could support modern residential living, full-home backup power, custom lighting, and specialty equipment areas.
The home required a reliable 200A service, generator backup system, panel organization, dedicated circuits, and wiring rough-ins for a wine cooler, bar, home theater, and hot tub.
Because the project was a custom new build, the electrical work had to be coordinated carefully with Pagi Contracting and other trades to match the home’s layout, lighting design, and inspection requirements.
Ottawa Electric installed the new 200A electrical service, including the meter base, main panel, sub-panels, underground service, generator panel, automatic transfer switch, and panel labelling.
The team coordinated with Hydro One as part of the service setup and completed the required ESA permits and inspections.
For backup power, Ottawa Electric installed the electrical infrastructure for a full-home generator backup system, including the generator panel and automatic transfer switch.
The custom lighting scope included pot lights, decorative fixtures, exterior lighting, sconces, accent lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and dimmers throughout the home.
Ottawa Electric also completed dedicated circuits and rough-in wiring for the wine cooler, bar, home theater, and hot tub. The home theater included low-voltage/data wiring, and the hot tub wiring included GFCI protection.
The Custom Home in Navan project was completed on time.
